Andoniri kontatu nion afaritan. Kontatzen hasi orduko etorri zitzaidan gogora garajean kaxak zabalduta topatu nuenekoa, orduko keinu bera egin zuelako. Urduritasun bera antzeman nion. Zer zuen galdetuta, “Ezer ez” esan zidan, zerbait duenak esaten duen eran. Ez nion berriz galdetu.

I told Andoni about it at dinner. As soon as I started to tell him, I remembered the time I found him with his boxes spread out in the garage, because he made the same gesture he had then. I noticed the same nervousness in him. When I asked him what was wrong, he told me, "Nothing," the way someone does when they have something. I didn't ask him again.
